I’m excited to share that Unmanned Dynamics, together with JADBio AutoML, has been shortlisted for the EDA Defence Innovation Prize 2024! Our proposal focuses on a comprehensive framework to protect critical maritime infrastructure—both above and below water. Being recognized among the top projects is a huge honor and reinforces the importance of our work in advancing maritime security across Europe.

This milestone is the result of months of hard work and the insights I’ve gained from participating in NATO Allied Command Transformation (ACT) events like NOICE and SHINE, as well as my visit to REPMUS in Lisbon. Seeing firsthand how EDA and NATO collaborate in maritime exercises highlighted just how vital integrated, multi-domain solutions are for addressing modern threats.

Our project is a true team effort-- In partnership with JADBio AutoML, led by their CEO Ioannis Tsamardinos, we’re blending cutting-edge AI with our expertise in autonomous systems. This collaboration brings advanced machine learning to maritime defense, allowing us to tackle complex challenges with innovative solutions.

What Makes Our Solution Stand Out:

  • AquaGrid System: A next-gen underwater positioning technology using GPS-aided buoys and acoustic modems—currently in development through the ESA-BIC Lithuania program.

  • AI-Driven C3 System: Real-time Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities powered by advanced machine learning.

  • Integrated Swarm Operations: Seamless coordination of AUVs, USVs, and UAVs for robust threat detection and rapid response.

A massive thank you to Srinath Mallikarjunan and Ioannis Tsamardinos for their tireless work and expertise. It’s a privilege to work alongside people so dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
